ADDITIVE MASTERBATCH

Desiccant masterbatch is a substance designed to eliminate humidity and enhance extrusion and injection processes. 

Flame retardants are added to polymers to increase resistance to ignition, reduce flame spread, suppress smoke formation, and prevent a polymer from dripping. The primary goal is to delay the ignition and burning of materials, allowing people more time to escape the affected area. A secondary consideration is to limit property damage.

Plastics have low electrical conductivity hence its susceptible to static electricity. Anti-static additives help prevent static electricity from appearing, accumulating or rebuilding over time. Applications include the automotive and packaging industries. 

Anti-slip additives are used to reduce a film's resistance to sliding over itself or parts of converting equipment. The most common additives are erucamide and oleamide.

Heat stabilizers prevent or reduce the thermal degradation of polymers, which can occur during processing or service at high temperatures. 

Absorbs wavelength from 270-380nm ultraviolet (UV) light effectively. It is mainly used in unsaturated resins and containing unsaturated resin in the products.

UV Masterbatches protects the polymers against UV-degradation, avoid discolouration and improves the processibility. 

Anti-fouling agents contains biocides that are released over time to prevent the growth of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms on the surface of plastic products. Applications include marine equipment, water tanks, and food packaging. 

Lubrication additives (internal and external) are added to plastic parts to create a layer between the part and its counter face. This reduces friction between the two surfaces, minimizing wear, noise, and vibration. 

Corrosion inhibitive additives slowly release a corrosion preventative compound from plastic films into sealed air space, effectively protecting exposed metal surfaces. It protects by interrupting the electrochemical corrosion process caused by moisture, oxygen and contaminants in the atmosphere.

Optical brighteners function by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and re-emitting blue light. The emitted blue light will reduce the colour of the polymer.
